Corine-Aldine N’Da earned her Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain and Logistics Management from Bellevue University in 2019, but in many ways it feels like yesterday. “Time does fly,” she said.
Another reason it might feel like yesterday is because it’s every day that she uses the knowledge and skills she learned through her degree program in her role as a pricing analyst with Nolan Transportation Group in Atlanta, one of North America’s 10 largest logistics companies.
“I believe the program provides a real-world vision of what a student is expected to face when entering the workforce,” N’Da said. “I learned a lot and continue to use what I have learned as a base to keep learning more. The program prepared me to never stop learning.”
That’s important because the logistics industry never stops changing. N’Da points to technology as one example. Many brokerage and asset-based carriers are increasingly relying on data science to make more accurate and cost-effective decisions. Competition is tight and being able to grab market share at the right time and provide quality services to external and internal customers is key, she said.
N’Da is excited about her future and grateful for the skills and knowledge she gained from the Supply Chain and Logistics Management program. “The economy revolves around transportation and this fast-paced industry needs committed and fast learners,” she said. “There are limitless opportunities for people who are willing to learn.”
