Demetra Hart is scheduled to graduate in 2024 with her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management (BHMC). She’ll leave the program with a life-changing degree and a lifelong bond with her classmates, as well.
“I have learned that no matter what walk of life we come from, everyone wants a better future to provide for their families, and we strive for a better tomorrow,” Hart said. “We all have that in common.”
Hart works as a clinical pharmacy administration specialist for Baylor Scott & White Health in Dallas. She’s confident her BHMC degree will help her advance her career at the organization, which is the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas and one of the largest in the country.
“I think this program is really improving my skills to be a part of management,” Hart said. “I’m so excited about constantly being able to grow. I have an internal drive to learn as much as possible and that’s exactly what I’m doing.”
She points to her current professor, Loren Standley, as another reason for her positive experience with the program. “He is excellent. He has provided so much help when I needed it, and he wants us to be able to go out with our degree and be great.”
